Farm Plans for Compliance with the Vineyard Waste Discharge Permit

PPI Engineering provides compliance services for the General Waste Discharge Requirements for Vineyard Properties in the Napa River and Sonoma Creek Watersheds (“General Permit”), adopted by the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) in 2017.  All properties in these watersheds with more than 5 acres of vineyards, regardless of slope, must comply with the General Permit.  PPI submits the required Notices of Intent (NOI) to comply with the regulations.  PPI also prepares Farm Plans that meet the RWQCB’s criteria, including preparing maps, assessing erosion potential, and working with the landowner to describe ongoing farming operations.  The Farm Plans that PPI prepares are verified by a qualified Third-Party Program in order to provide the landowner with the flexibility to obtain Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 monitoring status under the General Permit.
